SRH's executive board
SRH Holding is managed by an executive board which consists of three members. The CEO is Prof. Klaus Hekking, who is responsible for running SRH Holding. In keeping with the statutes of the foundation, he is accountable to the governing board to ensure that SRH Holding and its subsidiaries uphold the mission of the foundation and properly manage the foundation's finances.
Hans-Joachim Eucker
Deputy CEO
Born in 1954 in Siegen, Mr. Eucker was appointed deputy CEO of SRH as well as managing director of the SRH Berufsbildungswerk (vocational training centre) in Saxony in 1989.
After reading law at the University of Bonn he went on to become HR director of the Johannes Anstalten (institution for social work) in Mosbach and later HR director and deputy managing director of the SRH Rehabilitationszentrum (rehabilitation centre) in Neckargemünd.
He is a member of the bar of the state courts of Heidelberg and Mannheim.
Mr. Eucker is deputy chairman of the supervisory board of SRH Kliniken GmbH, a member of the supervisory board of SRH Wald-Klinikum Gera GmbH and a member of the executive board of the RehaCare trade fair in Düsseldorf.

Prof. Klaus Hekking
CEO
Born in 1950 in Berlin, Prof. Hekking joined the SRH executive board in 1983 and was named CEO two years later. In the early 1980s, he restored the rehabilitation foundation of Heidelberg to profitability after it floundered financially, restructuring it as SRH, a national provider of education and health care services that today has 30 subsidiaries.
After completing a degree in law and political science at the University of Freiburg, Prof. Hekking served as a senior government official, including posts as personal advisor to Ministers Lothar Späth and Dietmar Schlee. He was later affiliated with the corporate consulting firm Roland Berger & Partner.
In the early 1990s, he headed the state government of Baden-Württemberg’s "Verwaltung 2000" administrative reform commission as honorary chairman.
Prof. Hekking holds honorary appointments as:
- CEO of the Verband der Privaten Hochschulen (federation of private universities)
- Member of the executive board of the Baden-Württembergische Krankenhausgesellschaft (Baden-Württemberg hospital association

Prof. Hekking was appointed an honorary professor by Colorado State University in Fort Collins and SRH Hochschule Heidelberg and received an honorary doctorate from the Russian State Social University in Moscow.

Dr. Thomas Wolfram
Member of the executive board
Born in 1961 in Erfurt, Dr. Wolfram is SRH’s health director and chairman of the board of SRH Kliniken GmbH. He is a surgical specialist and earned his MBA in public health in 2005. He has been active in hospital management for many years and most recently took over the management of SRH Zentralklinikum Suhl GmbH as well as the interim management of SRH Wald-Klinikum Gera GmbH. He also served as managing director of SRH Institut für Gesundheitsberufe GmbH in Suhl in 2009.
He taught specialised classes in business administration and hospital management at the Thuringia University of Cooperative Education in Gera from 2005 to 2007, also serving as a consultant to various hospitals during this period. Dr. Wolfram represents SRH on the board of the Initiative Qualitätsmedizin (IQM, an initiative for quality in medicine), of which SRH is a founding member.
